These transformations will make it safer and more attractive for residents and visitors while also boosting business.<\/p>                    <\/div>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li >\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">\n                        <a href=\"#\">\n                            <i class=\"accordion-icon ti-plus\"><\/i>                            <i class=\"accordion-active-icon fa ti-minus\"><\/i>                            Who are the project partners?                        <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content clearfix  default-closed\">\n                        <p>The project was approved in 2015 and since then Camden Council has been working in partnership with Transport for London, Crossrail, City of Westminster Council, BeeMidtown, The Fitzrovia Partnership and London First. We received over 1000 responses to the original consultation from residents, businesses and local interest groups which helped to shape the project. We continue to work closely with local resident associations, businesses and special interest groups to ensure the project delivers the transformation that the area and its community deserves.<\/p>                    <\/div>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li >\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">\n                        <a href=\"#\">\n                            <i class=\"accordion-icon ti-plus\"><\/i>                            <i class=\"accordion-active-icon fa ti-minus\"><\/i>                            What area does the project cover?                        <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content clearfix  default-closed\">\n                        <p>The project area is focused around Tottenham Court Road, Gower Street, Bloomsbury Street, Princes Circus and St Giles. For a map of the project area explore the <a href=\"https:\/\/www3.camden.gov.uk\/westendproject\/the-project\/\">project pages<\/a>\u00a0or find out what the finished scheme will look like through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www3.camden.gov.uk\/westendproject\/maps\/\">area maps<\/a>.<\/p>                    <\/div>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li >\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">\n                        <a href=\"#\">\n                            <i class=\"accordion-icon ti-plus\"><\/i>                            <i class=\"accordion-active-icon fa ti-minus\"><\/i>                            Why are these changes taking place?                         <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content clearfix  default-closed\">\n                        <p>A number of issues have been identified in the area including traffic congestion, poor air quality and safety, narrow and cluttered pavements and confusing routes for bus passengers.<\/p><p>Locally there are a lack of public spaces, limited good pedestrian crossings and few cycle routes. The one way system on Tottenham Court Road and Gower Street has made journeys longer and with the arrival of the new Crossrail station at Tottenham Court road in 2019, the area is expected to become even busier.<\/p><p>The West End Project will address these issues providing a well-connected area to complement the opening of the new Crossrail station and cementing the area\u2019s reputation as one of London\u2019s premier commercial, cultural and academic districts.<\/p>                    <\/div>\n                <\/li>\n                    <\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n    <!-- \/module accordion -->\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<!-- module text -->\n<div  id=\"text-45-0-0-1\" class=\"module module-text text-45-0-0-1  repeat \">\n    \n    <p>Can&#8217;t find what you&#8217;re looking for? A survey is the best way for us to do this.<\/p>                    <\/div>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li >\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">\n                        <a href=\"#\">\n                            <i class=\"accordion-icon ti-plus\"><\/i>                            <i class=\"accordion-active-icon fa ti-minus\"><\/i>                            What does a survey include?                         <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content clearfix  default-closed\">\n                        <p>The survey staff will visually inspect your basement, take some measurements, pictures and record a general description of the use of the space. This allows them to be able to make sure nothing has changed after the works have all been completed.<\/p>                    <\/div>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li >\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">\n                        <a href=\"#\">\n                            <i class=\"accordion-icon ti-plus\"><\/i>                            <i class=\"accordion-active-icon fa ti-minus\"><\/i>                            When will my survey take place?                         <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content clearfix  default-closed\">\n                        <p>If your property needs a basement survey we will contact you directly to arrange a time and date.\u00a0<\/p>                    <\/div>\n                <\/li>\n                            <li >\n                    <div class=\"accordion-title\">\n                        <a href=\"#\">\n                            <i class=\"accordion-icon ti-plus\"><\/i>                            <i class=\"accordion-active-icon fa ti-minus\"><\/i>                            What happens if I am not in?                        <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <div class=\"accordion-content clearfix  default-closed\">\n                        <p>If you are not in when the survey is due to take place you will be left a letter notifying you of the attempted visit with contact details to rearrange, the team will also try again on a different occasion. If the surveyor can\u2019t gain entry after a few attempts or is denied entry, please be aware that it\u2019s your responsibility to prove the condition of your basement.
