Give and Take

Our popular community swap shop is back, this time with two events on one day. This is a fun, simple way to recycle and you don’t have to give something to take something.

Bring from 10am to 11.30am and take for free from 11.30am to 1pm.

For the evening event two bring between 6pm and 7.30pm and take between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Thursday 16 August, 10am -1pm and 6pm -9pm, St Pancras Community Centre, 30 Camden Street, NW1 0LG.


Ecofuntastics summer club

Keep your kids entertained this August by getting them involved in the Ecofuntastics summer club. There are a range of fun green activities on offer, including: wood carving, jam making and wildlife walks.

For children ages 7 and above. Cost: £35 per day. Limited spaces available.

Sky Ride Locals

Get on your bike for a range of local rides taking place across the borough this September. All of the rides are led by British Cycling trained Ride Leaders and are of a varied distance to suit all abilities and ages.

Kentish Town bike workshop

Camden Cycling Campaign and Transition Kentish Town have launched a new monthly bike workshop in Kentish Town.

Bring your bike and learn how to fix it yourself. Mechanics will be on hand to check your bike and to give you advice about fixing it. Plus tea and cake while you wait!

Camden Friends of the Earth Animated Earth Concert

Join Camden Friends of the Earth for an entertaining evening of eco-music and animation courtesy of Jess Gold and Luke Cannon, the chart-topping songwriter of the JCB song!

During the show, audience offerings will be brought to life in the creation of unique, satirical cartoons.

Tickets are £10 in advance, or £12 on the door.

Capital Growth's Edible Open Gardens Day

Capital Growth’s edible open gardens day is back. This year it’s part of The Big Dig, a national campaign aimed at increasing the number of people involved in community food-growing projects. For a list of local gardens that you can go visit or get involved in, go to capitalgrowth.org.

If your growing space is looking for volunteers on this day, register your site with Capital Growth.

21st century homes open day: character - comfort - low carbon

A new school pack on Fairtrade cotton has been launched.

The pack includes information about Fairtrade school uniforms, and a competition to design your own, where you could win a visit from a Fairtrade cotton producer to your school.

Save the date – Green Camden Zones showcase

Make sure you’re free on the evening of Thursday 27 September for the Green Camden event of the year!

We will showcase the great work of the Green Camden Zones and give you an opportunity to meet other people involved or interested in environmental issues in Camden. The event will also feature an exhibition of the Central St Martin DESIS project with the zones. Refreshments and food will be provided.
